Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with British Council and Tech Valley, the exclusive Google for Education partner in Pakistan, to jointly promote digital learning and educational empowerment across the country. This two-year collaboration is designed to support digital education, teacher training, capacity building, and social development through inclusive, technology-driven initiatives.

The agreement was formalized at Jazz Headquarters and brings together the collective strengths of three organizations with a shared goal to enhance learning opportunities across Pakistan. Jazz will utilize its extensive digital infrastructure and broad nationwide coverage to support delivery of scalable education programs, especially in regions and communities with limited access. The collaboration aligns with the broader goal of accelerating Pakistan’s digital and socio-economic transformation through strategic education-based interventions.

British Council will contribute its global experience in educational frameworks and capacity building, while Tech Valley, in its role as Google for Education’s partner, will offer digital tools, platforms, and training methodologies to support the roll-out of learning programs across diverse regions. Together, the three partners will focus on building a learning ecosystem that not only trains teachers but also empowers youth and women through access to meaningful educational content and digital platforms.

Syed Zaheer Mehdi, Group Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer at Jazz, emphasized the importance of inclusive education and said that access to quality learning should not be limited by geography or social circumstances. He noted that this partnership reflects a strong collective intent to use digital innovation to unlock human potential, particularly for youth and women in underserved communities, helping to foster a more connected and inclusive society.

James Hampson, Country Director of British Council Pakistan, described the partnership as a step towards national development. He highlighted the shared vision of Jazz, British Council, and Tech Valley to bring transformative learning opportunities to every part of Pakistan by leveraging each partner’s distinct strengths in education, technology, and connectivity.

Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley, pointed out that this collaboration marks a major milestone in reshaping Pakistan’s educational landscape. He emphasized that Tech Valley, as a Google for Education partner, will integrate cutting-edge tools with Jazz’s connectivity and British Council’s pedagogical guidance to create a comprehensive, scalable digital learning model. According to him, this initiative is not just about access, but about quality, sustainability, and long-term educational impact.

This initiative further strengthens Jazz’s commitment to using technology for inclusive growth. With a customer base exceeding 100 million users, Jazz continues to expand beyond traditional telecom services into areas such as fintech, entertainment, cloud solutions, and education, enabling digital advancement and social development in Pakistan.
