Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has expanded its long-standing partnership with global Digital BSS provider Qvantel by launching new service, operations, and support centers in Islamabad and Lahore. This development is aimed at reinforcing Jazz’s digital infrastructure, enabling the delivery of enhanced customer experiences to its growing base of over 73 million mobile subscribers across the country.

The new centers are staffed by more than 100 skilled professionals specializing in Business Support Systems (BSS), providing localized technical support and managed services tailored to Jazz’s digital transformation goals. These teams will play a key role in supporting Jazz’s evolution into a fully digital service company. With this expansion, Qvantel is also set to utilize Jazz’s enterprise cloud platform, Garaj, for co-location and hosting services. This strategic use of locally hosted infrastructure ensures that core services operate on a secure, scalable, and Pakistan-based digital backbone.

Khalid Shehzad, Chief Technology Officer at Jazz, highlighted the critical role of such collaborations in enabling Jazz’s shift from traditional connectivity to a digital-first ServiceCo model. He noted that Qvantel’s agile Digital BSS platform has simplified internal systems, improved operational efficiencies, and opened new digital revenue streams. The expanded on-ground presence of Qvantel in Pakistan enhances Jazz’s capacity to deliver real-time, customer-centric innovations that are scalable and resilient.

Tero Kivisaari, President of Qvantel, described Jazz as a model digital operator, effectively translating its digital ambitions into meaningful daily experiences for millions of users. He emphasized that by investing directly in Pakistan’s tech talent and establishing local centers, Qvantel is not only enhancing its partnership with Jazz but also contributing to the broader development of the country’s digital infrastructure. This initiative is more than a technical collaboration—it reflects a shared commitment to building digital solutions that empower communities and support national growth.

The strengthened partnership comes at a pivotal time as Pakistan intensifies its focus on digital transformation. Jazz and Qvantel’s collaboration is positioned to meet these ambitions by providing agile, future-ready infrastructure capable of supporting hyper-personalized services. This aligns with Jazz’s broader strategy of becoming a comprehensive platform-based digital services company, delivering innovation at scale through fintech (JazzCash), digital entertainment (Tamasha), gaming (GameNow), enterprise cloud (Garaj), AI-powered self-care (SIMOSA), and digital insurance (FikrFree).

By increasing its investment in local infrastructure and talent, Qvantel not only supports Jazz’s digital shift but also contributes to the ecosystem of Pakistan’s telecom and tech services industry. As the two companies continue to deepen their partnership, the new service centers mark an important milestone in bringing advanced digital capabilities closer to users and building a strong foundation for the next generation of services.
