Jazz and Engro Connect, a subsidiary of Engro Corporation, have entered into a strategic partnership to optimize the management and utilization of telecommunications infrastructure in Pakistan. This collaboration marks a significant step towards accelerating the country’s digital transformation and enhancing connectivity for millions of citizens.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jazz’s infrastructure assets, currently managed by its subsidiary Deodar, will be integrated with Engro Connect through a scheme of arrangement. This strategic move aligns with Jazz’s broader vision of transforming into a Digital ServiceCo, focusing on delivering a diverse range of digital solutions. This partnership is expected to have a profound impact on Pakistan’s telecommunications landscape. By optimizing the utilization of infrastructure, both companies aim to enhance network performance, improve customer experience, and drive innovation. Additionally, the collaboration will enable the sharing of best practices and expertise, leading to greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This strategic collaboration with Engro Connect is a significant milestone in our journey to become a fully-fledged Digital ServiceCo. By optimizing our infrastructure and partnering with a trusted industry leader like Engro, we are well-positioned to accelerate Pakistan’s digital transformation. We are committed to delivering innovative digital solutions that empower individuals and businesses, and this partnership will further strengthen our ability to achieve this goal.”

Abdul Samad Dawood, Director of Engro Corporation, highlighted the positive impact of the partnership on the broader telecom ecosystem. He emphasized that by optimizing infrastructure and sharing resources, the industry can deliver enhanced services and expand coverage, ultimately benefiting consumers and businesses alike.
