Ignite Announces Countrywide Digital Pakistan CyberSecurity Hackathon 2022

Ignite – The National Technology Fund has announced the second Nationwide Cyber Hackathon and hands on workshops. The entire programme will be held across 3 months from October to December 2022.

Hands-on workshops will be conducted in 8 cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Sukkur and Abbottabad, whereas the Hackathon sessions will be in 5 cities. The cash prizes for this year are worth PKR 6 million.

This competition is said to be beneficial to security researchers and academics who can use the attack data and network traffic generated during competitions as case studies to help model, predict and prevent real-world security incidents.

The sessions will provide better practical knowledge and increases confidence in information security skills. To track the cybersecurity workforce to understand strengths and weaknesses in knowledge, skills and abilities.
