Google has substantially revised its Google One cloud storage and artificial intelligence subscription pricing in Pakistan, with changes affecting everything from entry-level storage plans to premium AI-bundled packages that now reach as high as Rs 70,000 per month. The pricing revision is part of a broader global update that Google has implemented across multiple countries, citing infrastructure and service costs as the basis for the increases. For Pakistani subscribers, the changes represent a significant step up in cost, particularly at the higher tiers where new artificial intelligence features have been folded into the subscription model.

Among the most immediately visible changes, Google’s popular 100GB Basic plan has doubled from Rs 219 to Rs 419 per month, with the annual billing option rising proportionally to approximately Rs 4,199 per year. The Lite plan for 30GB now sits at Rs 189 per month, while the Standard plan for 200GB is priced at Rs 649. Moving up the scale, the 2TB Premium plan is available at Rs 2,099 per month, the 5TB plan at Rs 5,499, and storage tiers continue rising through 10TB at Rs 10,999, 20TB at Rs 21,999, and 30TB at Rs 32,999 monthly. All pricing has been calculated at the prevailing open market exchange rate of Rs 278 per United States dollar.

Alongside the revised storage tiers, Google has introduced two new artificial intelligence focused packages that bundle cloud storage with advanced tools including Gemini AI, research assistants, and productivity automation. The Google AI Pro plan offers 2TB of storage combined with Gemini AI access at Rs 5,600 per month, equivalent to approximately USD 19.99. At the top of the range, the Google AI Ultra plan packages 30TB of storage with the full artificial intelligence suite at Rs 70,000 per month, reflecting a global price point of USD 249.99. The introduction of these AI-driven tiers signals a deliberate shift in Google’s revenue strategy, moving the subscription model away from pure storage toward bundled artificial intelligence capabilities targeted at professionals, content creators, and enterprise users rather than casual consumers.
