Airlink Communication Limited, a publicly listed technology manufacturer and distributor with a market capitalisation exceeding USD 200 million, has formally launched Hisense in Pakistan, bringing one of the world’s largest consumer electronics brands into the local market through a partnership that combines Hisense’s global product range with Airlink’s nationwide manufacturing, distribution, and retail infrastructure.

Hisense is a global technology company with a presence spanning more than 160 countries and annual revenues exceeding USD 30 billion, recognised worldwide for its engineering credentials and its position as a leading player in display technology globally. The collaboration between Hisense and Airlink represents one of the most significant Chinese technology investments in Pakistan to date, with the partnership initially introducing a range of Hisense televisions and air conditioners, giving Pakistani consumers access to premium technology products at competitive price points.

Airlink brings to the partnership an end-to-end ecosystem built over years, covering manufacturing, nationwide distribution, retail, e-commerce, and consumer financing through Buy Now Pay Later solutions. Its manufacturing facility in the Sundar Special Economic Zone in Lahore spans 1.4 million square feet, making it one of the largest technology manufacturing investments in Pakistan’s history. Airlink currently employs more than 2,500 people, approximately 20 percent of whom are women. The local manufacturing component of the partnership directly supports the government’s Made in Pakistan initiative, with both companies positioning the arrangement as a vehicle for technology transfer, import substitution, skilled job creation, and ultimately the export of locally manufactured technology products to generate foreign exchange for Pakistan.

Speaking at the launch, Muzaffar Piracha, Chief Executive Officer of Airlink Group, said the partnership reflects Airlink’s mission to make world-class technology accessible to every Pakistani household, adding that the objective is not only to bring leading global brands to Pakistan but also to build a sustainable technology ecosystem that creates jobs, reduces the national import bill, and contributes toward making Pakistan a global technology hub. Finn, President Asia Pacific at Hisense, described Pakistan as a strategically important market with tremendous growth potential, saying the partnership combines Hisense’s global technology leadership with Airlink’s proven manufacturing capabilities, nationwide reach, and deep understanding of consumer needs. The launch event, attended by government officials, business leaders, channel partners, media, and industry stakeholders, also marked the unveiling of actress Hania Aamir as the official brand ambassador for Hisense Pakistan.
