Yango has unveiled a comprehensive safety initiative aimed at protecting its partner drivers in Pakistan. The YangoCares program includes the distribution of over 4,500 helmets, 1,000 car shades, and 100 umbrellas, as well as enhanced in-app safety features.
The move comes after market research indicated a strong need for safety equipment and protection from the elements among local drivers. Yango has distributed the items across various locations to ensure maximum accessibility.
In addition to physical safety measures, the company has upgraded its app with new features, including a passenger rating system visible to drivers before accepting a ride and dedicated support for driver concerns.
Miral Sharif, Yango’s Country Manager for Pakistan, emphasized the company’s commitment to driver well-being and safety.
“This initiative reflects our dedication to making a positive impact on the communities we serve,” she said.
Yango is also collaborating with local organizations to implement additional safety projects and improve overall community well-being.
