Admins of groups may now approve new members before they join via a new feature coming to WhatsApp. Without the group administrator’s permission, users cannot join the group using an invitation link.
The new group membership approval has reportedly been discovered in beta version 2.22.14.6 of WhatsApp, according to the report by beta tracker WABetaInfo. In the group settings, the admin can allow or disable this function. As soon as the admin turns on the “admin approval” mode, the group members will receive a message.
If the administrator turns on this option, they will be notified if someone wishes to join the group. The list of pending requests will display beneath the approve option, according to WABetaInfo.
The admin approval function will aid in preserving user privacy and preventing phony members from joining the group.
Anyone with the group link can join the group in the current version. If the link is misused, this can raise privacy concerns. In case there are any questions, the admin may now confirm the group’s current members. The newest update is presently being worked on and will be available shortly.
