The annual event brought together emerging innovators, investors, and industry leaders to celebrate startup excellence, creativity, and sustainable business models that contribute to the country’s growing innovation ecosystem.

This year’s edition received more than 450 applications from across Pakistan, with 30 finalists shortlisted in six categories: Bright Ideas, Circular Economy, Clean Energy Solutions, Empowering Women, Technology Innovation, and Transportation & Mobility. Each finalist presented their business idea before a panel of esteemed judges including business executives, investors, and academics. The evaluation focused on creativity, market potential, scalability, and social impact. The finalists reflected the diversity and depth of Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, ranging from clean energy ventures to AI-powered technology startups.

The winners of the 12th Tameer Awards 2025 represented outstanding innovation in their respective fields. AgriCalcis by Manahil Akmal won in the Circular Economy category for developing a solution that transforms marble waste into fertilizer-grade calcium nitrate to support sustainable agriculture. In Clean Energy Solutions, Nida Riaz from Bio-Home Energy was recognized for converting household organic waste into clean cooking gas and fertilizer through compact biogas units. The Empowering Women category was led by Syeda Bushra Zehra Zaidi for B-Fit Revo, Pakistan’s first smart foot rehabilitation device paired with a tele-rehab app designed for women. In Technology Innovation, Muhammad Ubaid Raza from Ace Aeronautics received the award for developing AI-powered, collision-resilient drones for industrial and rescue operations. Lastly, in Transportation & Mobility, Ali Yar from Pani Express was awarded for creating an IoT-based digital platform that optimizes water tanker deliveries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Habib Haider, Director of Corporate & Government Relations, highlighted the growing scope of innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan, emphasizing that the youth are driving meaningful transformation across industries. He noted that the diversity of startups showcased at this year’s event demonstrated the strength of Pakistan’s entrepreneurial landscape and its potential to deliver scalable impact. Echoing these sentiments, Wafi Energy Pakistan CEO, Zubair Shaikh, said that the Tameer initiative continues to provide real opportunities for youth-led startups by equipping them with tools, mentorship, and exposure needed to turn innovative ideas into viable businesses.
