Trivzia, a Lahore-based live video streaming network, has raised a seed round of just over $400,000 (PKR 65 million) from Pakistan-focused 47 Ventures, according to a statement released today. Jeeto Naye Andaz Say, a live trivia game show based on a mobile app, gives participants the chance to win money by completing ten multiple-choice questions.

Trivizia’s game show, Jeeto, was founded in late 2019 by Waqqas Alvi, Waqqas Shahid, Jahnzaib Shahid, and Ejaz Rana and goes live every day at 10 p.m. with up to 10,000 participants. Its mobile app has been downloaded over half a million times on the Google Play Store. Users who want to take part in the show must start at the beginning and continue to answer questions as they are delivered by the host and displayed on their smartphone displays. They have 10 seconds to answer each question, and if they get it right, they advance to the next level. The reward pool is split among those who successfully answer all ten questions.

Last week, I tried out the app and took part in one of their shows. Despite the fact that I was unable to correctly answer all 10 questions, I liked my time on the game show and learnt new things in the process. I continued to function watch() { [native code] } the rest of the event, and over 500 persons were chosen as winners, with everyone receiving a prize of PKR 15,000 – which equated to less than PKR 30 per winner.

In Pakistan, game shows have always been popular, but the founders of Trivzia began developing their product with the goal of making them more accessible. The studio audience for live game shows hosted by Pakistani television stations is usually a few dozen people. The Lahore-based business Jeeto Naye Andaz Say hopes to make it possible for anybody in Pakistan to participate in a comparable experience for enjoyment, learning, and incentives.

Trivzia’s co-founder Waqaas Alvi told MENAbytes that the firm is now working on a real-time market research and digital advertising solution that would allow brands to promote their products on the platform, and that this will become the company’s primary revenue stream.

“The issues of live streaming media have already been solved by Youtube live, Facebook Live, and other social platforms,” he said in a statement. “However, with Jeeto Naye Andaz Say, we are tackling the intricacies of interactive live streaming at scale.” Our user base is growing every day, and this funding round will assist us in optimising our technology to handle this challenge.”

Khurram Zafar, Country Director for 47 Ventures Investment, commented, “The great team at Trivzia is building the future of live, interactive, mass communication.” The presentation begins with a live, interactive rewards game show depending on talent. We’re excited about the future, which will feature more regular and specialised presentations, instructional programming for younger audiences, and the development of a real-time market research and digital advertising platform.”

The money will be used to grow the company’s user base, hire more people, and improve the streaming platform’s ability to scale and manage millions of gamers at the same time.
