Seminar on 3G and LTE Solutions

ITEL is hosting a seminar on 3G and LTE solutions:  ITEL specifies in providing telecom solutions to the local customers as well as the telecom operators. Representatives from PTCL, NTC, MOITT and all the other individuals of the telecom industry attended the seminar. Alepo for wi-fi offloading, Mara Systems for internet caching, Bytemobile for video optimization, Dingli for drive testing, ACTIX for post processing and Self Optimizing Networks, GeoImage for Digital Map Data,  were the solutions highlighted in the seminar. During the session the audience was also provided with a training session as well as absorbing session on solutions. It was proposed that, this will help the audience in effective launch of 3G and LTE solutions

Winning telecommunication companies of 3G&4G auction to pay advance tax- Ministry of finance

Islamabad: Telecommunication companies under great pressure by ministry of finance. The ministry of finance has declared that there should be an advance payment of 10% of the tax by the telecom operators who are introducing 3G&4G services. This decision is opposed by all the telecom operators who have won the auction; they declare that the requirement was not mentioned in the information memorandum that was revised prior to the auction. Two meetings have been held before, in this regard, and the third is going to be held for the purpose of acknowledgement about the procedure of further payments.

 Expansion of 3G services in rural areas

3G technology a reduction in technology gap of rural areas in Pakistan:  The introduction of 3G technology will be reducing the technological gap that exists between the urban and rural areas of Pakistan.  The telecom industries, as well as the government seem to have no interest in updating the rural areas with the upcoming technologies. The poor people are left behind in terms of technology. In the IM of 3G & 4G it was stated, that 3G should be circulated during 9 months, within the urban cities of Pakistan. In this regard, Ms. Anusha Rahman has promised to launch fiber optic based internet, though for this to be implied an organization needs to have monetary freedom.

The declining revenues of VIMPELCOM.

The revenue of VimpelCom decreased by 5%, whereas the customers rose by 3%.    Due to the instability in the economic conditions of Pakistan the revenue of VimpelCom has come down to Rs. 26 billion for Mobilink Pakistan. The average revenue per person was estimated Rs.216, the reason behind this fluctuation is the additional withholding taxes. It has been proclaimed that the revenues have declined from $5.591 billion to $5.024 billion. The total profits have dropped from $408 million to $90 million. This seems to be a great difference in the productivity. On the other hand, a 24% increase has been witnessed in terms of expenditure.
