TECNO Mobile has officially launched the Spark 50 in Pakistan, positioning it as a battery-first budget smartphone available nationwide at Rs43,999 with full PTA approval and a 12 plus one month official warranty. The device arrives as one of the more aggressively specified entries in the sub-Rs45,000 segment, leading with a 7,000mAh battery that the company says can sustain up to 44 hours of WhatsApp calling and 29 hours of continuous YouTube video playback under real-world conditions.

At the core of the Spark 50 is its 7,000mAh battery engineered for extended usage without frequent charging, supported by AI intelligent charging designed to optimise power efficiency and maintain long-term battery health, with an upgraded lifespan of up to 1,200 charge cycles built to retain strong performance over time. The inclusion of bypass charging technology helps manage heat during intensive usage such as streaming or gaming. The battery is paired with 18W fast charging support, which is modest by current standards but functional for a device aimed squarely at users who prioritise endurance over top-up speed. The device runs on Android 16 with HIOS 16 and includes useful features like a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC support, dual SIM, and expandable storage.

The display is a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel running at 120Hz, though at an HD Plus 720p resolution rather than Full HD, which keeps production costs down but is a visible compromise at this screen size. On the camera side, the Spark 50 carries a 50MP primary rear camera with artificial intelligence optimisation for improved results in both daylight and low-light conditions, an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls, and a design that features a triple-lens camera bar aesthetic, though only one rear lens is functional with the remaining two serving a decorative purpose. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset. Colour options span Halo Blue, Titanium Grey, Ink Black, Aurora Purple, and Bloom Pink, giving buyers a reasonable range of aesthetic choices within the budget category. For users in Pakistan’s most price-sensitive smartphone segment looking for a device that can comfortably last two to three days on a single charge, the TECNO Spark 50 makes a credible case at its Rs43,999 price point, even if the HD Plus display resolution remains the most obvious area where cost-cutting is visible.
