After a competitive bidding procedure, Supernet was granted numerous contracts worth over Rs. 450 million by Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL). The contracts will assist ZTBL in improving the communication and IT infrastructure of its countrywide branch network, which is mostly located in Pakistan’s rural areas.

Supernet is actively modernising the bank’s communication infrastructure with multi-medium communication networks, allowing branches to interact with their head office with high-level uptimes. This will be a managed service approach, with Supernet installing and configuring its Wide Area Network (WAN) with ZTBL’s current equipment for smooth communication from end to end. Supernet’s engineering resources are spread across the country, ensuring a seamless and quick implementation of this technology.

Supernet will also improve the bank’s existing Local Area Network (LAN) at all of its 450+ branches across Pakistan, assuring the installation of high-quality passive power and data transmission infrastructure. The bank’s thirst for next-generation LAN, demand, and design will assure long-term and sustainable infrastructure availability in remote places, which is a difficult task.

“We are relying on the Supernet outreach in rural regions to support us in our LAN & WAN projects /operations,” said Mr. Aamir Zaffar Chaudry, ZTBL’s Executive Vice President and CIO. “Our previous experience with Supernet gives us confidence that they will deliver on their promises.”

Hassan Jafri, Vice President and Business Unit Head of Supernet, commented, “Award of these contracts translates trust of our client in our services. We are excited and keen to be part of strengthening networks for ZTBL that will ensure helping our country’s agriculture -ecosystem. We will continue working with ZTBL to bring further innovative solutions and their implementation to deliver a true essence of technology for agriculture.”

Supernet has a long history of delivering ICT services to business customers, with engineering resources located throughout Pakistan. Cyber security solutions, electricity solutions, IT Infrastructure Solutions, and software & application solutions have all been added to Supernet’s offering of services.
