Under the Presidential Initiative for Artificial Intelligence and Computing, around 25,000 students from throughout Sindh took the entrance exam 2022 for online courses in the developing disciplines of software, artificial intelligence, block chain, internet of things, networking, and cloud computing (PIAIC).

Dr. Arif Alvi, President of Pakistan, paid a visit to the test facility at the National Stadium in Karachi (NSK).
The President’s program , which was established in partnership with the Sailani International Welfare Trust (SWIT), aims to empower adolescents by providing advanced online training.
Dr. Arif Alvi addressed the students ahead to the test and recommended them to study hard and concentrate on Information Technology. He said that students who finished these courses would have a plethora of income prospects.

“Once you complete your education and training, you would avail thousands of opportunities in this sector across the world,” he said, adding that “the government is extending all kinds of support to the IT sector and laws have been made to facilitate the growth of this sector.”

He added that the government has put in place initiatives such as the Digital Skill Program. He insisted that the Digital Skills Program was free and claimed it provided IT training through online sessions. Thousands of kids benefited from the initiative, he continued, and were earning money.

“After the training, you can start entrepreneurship as the government has also launched Kamyab Jawan Program to extend interest-free financial support of up to Rs. 1,000,000 to youth,” said the President.

Chairman of SWIT, Maulana Bashir Ahmed Farooqui, spoke at the event and stated that SWIT aspired to serve the people and was doing its best.

“We are working to train the youth in the IT sector as it can help develop the country through promoting entrepreneurship in the country,” he added.
