Spotify brought together a curated gathering of creators, tastemakers, and cultural voices from Karachi’s creative scene at House of Padel on April 14, 2026, for an intimate evening that blended sport, music, and community in a format that reflected how the streaming platform has been deepening its cultural footprint in Pakistan five years after its local launch. The gathering featured notable guests including Ayla Adnan and Hajra Yamin, alongside a live DJ set by Disguise in Hoodie, with Spotify’s Padel Fever playlist shaping the mood courtside and enhancing the atmosphere throughout the evening.

A key highlight of the evening was the integration of Spotify’s Mix feature, available to Premium users in Pakistan, which allows listeners to customize transitions between tracks. Brought into a physical, social environment, this digital experience became interactive and tangible, encouraging guests to engage with music in a more playful and expressive way that mirrored the flow and energy of the game itself. The event was hosted by Aqsa Manzoor and designed as a high-energy yet intimate social experience, transforming the padel court into a space for rhythm, interaction, and cultural exchange rather than purely competitive sport.

Talha Hashim, Spotify’s Marketing Manager for Pakistan, said that music is already part of how people show up to sport, before a game, during play, and in the moments in between, describing padel as a great example of that intersection given the energy and community it generates around the court. He added that experiences like this are about showing up in those moments in a way that feels true to how audiences in Pakistan are already using Spotify. Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify’s Artist and Label Partnerships Manager for Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, said that what the platform is seeing now is a new level of connection, with listeners exploring more, discovering faster, and showing up for homegrown artists in a way that feels truly significant. Since its launch in Pakistan in 2021, Spotify’s listenership in the country has grown by more than 750 percent, while users have created over 15 million playlists. Listeners can explore the Padel Fever playlist on Spotify to bring the energy of the courtside experience into their everyday listening.
