The Virtual University of Pakistan has opened registration for a new batch of free courses through its Digital Transformation Centres under the NetAcad programme, offering learners access to in demand digital skills at no cost. Registration opened on August 31, 2026, and will remain open until September 6, with courses set to begin on September 9.
The batch offers eight courses spanning a range of digital disciplines, including Digital Awareness, Python Essentials 1, JavaScript Essentials 1, Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to Modern AI, Introduction to Data Science, Discovering Entrepreneurship, and Digital Safety and Security Awareness. Courses run between four and eight weeks and are delivered entirely online through live classes, giving participants flexibility in how they complete the programme.
According to Virtual University, the courses are completely free with no hidden costs, structured around self paced, flexible learning designed to build practical, employer valued skills for today’s competitive job market. The offering spans foundational digital literacy topics alongside more technical subjects such as programming and cybersecurity, giving participants a range of entry points depending on their existing skill level and career interests.
Interested applicants can register through the official NetAcad portal on Virtual University’s website, with the university also providing email and phone support for prospective students with questions about the enrollment process. The initiative adds to Virtual University’s ongoing role in expanding access to digital skills training across Pakistan through its network of Digital Transformation Centres, part of a broader pattern of Pakistani universities and institutions offering free, employer relevant technical courses to address the country’s growing demand for digitally skilled talent.
