Shaza Fatima Highlights Pakistan’s Digital Vision At GITEX 2025 Dubai

Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, represented Pakistan at GITEX 2025 Dubai, reaffirming the nation’s growing commitment to technology, innovation, and global cooperation. Speaking at one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, she highlighted Pakistan’s digital transformation journey and its ambition to position itself as a competitive player in the global tech ecosystem.

During her address, Shaza Fatima outlined Pakistan’s comprehensive digital strategy, emphasizing the Ministry of IT and Telecom’s role in fostering innovation, expanding digital infrastructure, and creating new opportunities for entrepreneurship and connectivity. She underscored that Pakistan’s participation at GITEX 2025 was not only about showcasing progress but also about forging international collaborations that could accelerate the country’s technology-driven growth. The minister reiterated that initiatives under Tech Destination Pakistan were designed to empower youth, support startups, and attract global investment in emerging digital sectors.

The minister also met with global industry leaders, investors, and innovators at the event, exploring avenues for partnerships in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital skills development. She highlighted that Pakistan’s tech ecosystem is expanding rapidly, supported by policy reforms that encourage private sector participation and innovation. According to Shaza Fatima, Pakistan’s expanding digital economy is driven by young professionals and entrepreneurs who are using technology to address local challenges and build scalable solutions for the international market.

She further stated that the government remains committed to building a digitally inclusive society by enhancing connectivity and ensuring equitable access to technology across urban and rural areas. Her discussions with international counterparts at GITEX focused on strengthening Pakistan’s participation in the global technology value chain and promoting the country as a preferred destination for outsourcing, software development, and IT exports. Pakistan’s strong presence at the event reflected the collaborative efforts between public and private sectors under the Tech Destination Pakistan initiative, reinforcing its status as a growing hub for digital innovation and technological advancement.

GITEX Dubai 2025 provided Pakistan an opportunity to engage with global thought leaders, explore cross-border technology partnerships, and share insights on the future of digital transformation. The participation of the Federal Minister underscored the country’s commitment to nurturing innovation, promoting international cooperation, and advancing its digital economy to meet the evolving demands of the global technology landscape.
