SG Power has signed a strategic distribution agreement to bring Japanese medical devices to Pakistan, marking another milestone in the company’s transformation from the power sector into healthcare. The partnership will enable the distribution of hospital products manufactured by Japan’s Nipro Corporation, a globally recognized medical technology company known for its expertise in infusion therapy, vascular products and a wide range of healthcare solutions. The move aligns with SG Power’s broader strategy to establish a strong presence in Pakistan’s growing healthcare and medical devices market.

The agreement will leverage the existing distribution network of Lablink Enterprises, which has represented Nipro products in Pakistan for more than 15 years. By combining Nipro’s internationally recognized medical technologies with an established local distribution platform, SG Power aims to strengthen the availability of advanced hospital products for healthcare providers across the country while creating new opportunities for long-term business growth.

The latest development follows SG Power’s recent strategic shift into the healthcare sector after formally changing its principal line of business from power generation to pharmaceutical and healthcare-related activities. The company’s expanded business scope now includes the import, export, manufacture, marketing, installation and servicing of medical equipment, medical devices, hospital supplies and pharmaceutical products, reflecting its ambition to diversify beyond the energy industry.

The partnership highlights growing collaboration between Pakistani and Japanese companies in the healthcare sector while supporting greater access to internationally recognized medical technologies. As demand for modern healthcare equipment continues to increase, the agreement is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s medical devices market and contribute to the country’s expanding healthcare ecosystem through the introduction of advanced hospital products and technologies.
