Samsung has quietly listed the Galaxy A27 5G on its official website in the Czech Republic, giving the first official look at a new mid-range addition to the Galaxy A series that arrives with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, and one of the more generous software support commitments in the mid-range segment.
The standout aspect of the Galaxy A27 5G’s specifications is not its hardware configuration but its longevity promise. Samsung has confirmed the device will receive six years of major operating system upgrades and security updates, extending support through to 2032 given its 2026 launch year. The phone ships with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 out of the box, meaning buyers can expect to be running Android 22 by the end of its supported life, a commitment that places the Galaxy A27 5G well ahead of most competing mid-range devices on long-term usability. The display is a 6.7-inch Full High Definition Plus Super AMOLED panel running at 120Hz with up to 800 nits of brightness, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, and the device carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, a protection level more commonly associated with devices priced significantly above the mid-range tier.
On the camera side, the Galaxy A27 5G features a triple rear setup led by a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and optical image stabilisation, supported by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro unit. The front camera is a 12-megapixel shooter with autofocus. Video recording tops out at 4K at 30 frames per second. Internally, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset is paired with either 6 or 8 gigabytes of LPDDR5x RAM and 128 or 256 gigabytes of UFS 3.1 storage, with a hybrid slot supporting microSD cards of up to 2 terabytes for users who need additional space. Connectivity covers dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C, with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner handling biometric authentication. The 5,000 milliampere-hour battery supports 25 watt wired charging. Samsung has not confirmed pricing or a broader international launch timeline yet, though the official listing suggests wider availability is likely in the near term.
