Punjab Information Technology Board’s Maryam Ke Dastak platform has received over 3.3 million service requests from citizens across Punjab since its launch in June 2024, with more than 2.7 million of those requests already successfully processed and over 489,000 remaining applications currently in the pipeline. The figures were shared during a high-level meeting presided over by PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf at Arfa Software Technology Park in Lahore, where participants were briefed on the platform’s growing reach and the expanding role of Dastak Facilitators in ensuring efficient service delivery at the community level.

The platform currently offers more than 76 government services across Punjab, covering a wide range of essential documentation needs including Domicile Certificates, Birth Certificates, copies of First Information Reports, Land Record Documents such as Fard and Registry, Learner Driving Licenses, Regular Driving Licenses, and License Renewals, among others. Citizens can access all of these services without visiting a government office by calling the dedicated helpline at 1202 or using the Dastak Doorstep Delivery mobile application, with registered Dastak Facilitators, many of them young people, responsible for coordinating and completing the physical delivery of documents to applicants at their homes.

Speaking at the meeting, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf described Maryam Ke Dastak as a platform that delivers public services in a manner that is easy, transparent, and efficient, while also saving citizens time and reducing the financial cost of repeated visits to government offices. He added that continuous work is underway to expand the service catalogue and bring further improvements to the system to ensure maximum facilitation for citizens across the province. The platform’s milestone of 3.3 million requests in under two years reflects both genuine public demand for accessible government services and the effectiveness of a model that uses a network of community-based facilitators to bridge the gap between digital platforms and citizens who may have limited confidence navigating government systems independently.
