Punjab government has expanded the reach of its ‘Dastak – Doorstep Services’ app to 32 districts across the province. This initiative, launched under the directive of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, aims to simplify government services and provide convenience to citizens.

The app allows users to order a variety of government documents, such as birth certificates, death certificates, domicile certificates, and marriage certificates, to be delivered directly to their homes. A trained representative will collect the necessary documents and return the processed documents within nine days.

While the ‘Dastak’ service has been well-received in major cities like Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Sargodha, its expansion to 10 new districts, including Rahim Yar Khan, Vehari, Lodhran, Toba Tek Singh, Layyah, Rajanpur, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Gujrat, and Khushab, will bring convenience to a wider range of citizens.

However, the app has received mixed reviews, with some users complaining about the high fee and limited availability in certain areas. The Punjab government will need to address these concerns to ensure the success of the ‘Dastak’ initiative.
