PTA Simplifies VPN Registration for Businesses and Freelancers

PTA has introduced a simplified process for businesses and freelancers to register their VPNs. The move aims to streamline the registration process and ensure uninterrupted access to online services for IT companies, call centers, banks, embassies, and freelancers.

To register a VPN, applicants must fill out an online form on the PTA’s official website, providing details such as CNIC number, company registration information, and tax registration status. Freelancers will need to submit proof of their association with a project or company.

PTA has emphasized that the registration process is free of charge and typically takes less than 10 hours to complete. Over 20,000 companies and freelancers have already successfully registered their VPNs.

PTA’s initiative to streamline VPN registration reflects its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for the IT industry in Pakistan. By simplifying the process, the authority aims to encourage innovation and facilitate the growth of the digital economy
