Pakistan Software Export Board has launched an initiative aimed at supporting the expansion of Pakistan’s call center and business process outsourcing sector as part of broader efforts to strengthen the country’s digital economy. Through the program, industry stakeholders have been invited to register and participate in activities designed to promote sector growth, improve industry coordination, and expand Pakistan’s footprint in global outsourcing markets. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by Pakistan Software Export Board and Ministry of IT and Telecommunication to encourage the development of information technology enabled services and enhance export potential.

The call center and business process outsourcing industry has emerged as an important component of Pakistan’s technology sector, providing employment opportunities and generating export revenue through services delivered to international clients. Pakistan Software Export Board continues to work with industry partners to support the sector through facilitation programs, policy support, and industry engagement. Officials note that strengthening the outsourcing ecosystem is essential for expanding Pakistan’s digital services industry and ensuring that local companies remain competitive in global markets.

Through the registration process, companies and service providers will be able to connect with government initiatives aimed at facilitating growth in the outsourcing sector. These initiatives include industry support mechanisms, policy facilitation, and improved access to resources designed to help companies scale their operations and attract international business. The organization has also introduced platforms such as MARKAZ, a one window facilitation system that provides round the clock assistance for information technology companies, business process outsourcing firms, call centers, and freelancers.

Pakistan Software Export Board stated that strengthening the call center ecosystem is aligned with the government’s broader Digital Pakistan vision, which focuses on expanding technology exports, creating employment opportunities, and positioning the country as a competitive destination for global technology and outsourcing services. By encouraging companies to register and participate in these initiatives, the organization aims to further develop Pakistan’s information technology enabled services sector and strengthen the country’s growing digital economy.
