The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), operating under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, has announced an extension of the registration deadline for its Skill Bridge Apprenticeship Program, encouraging PSEB-registered IT and ITeS firms to take part in the initiative. The extended deadline allows more companies to register and benefit from hosting skilled apprentices while contributing to Pakistan’s growing technology ecosystem. The Skill Bridge program aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by offering a practical training platform for young IT graduates.

Under this initiative, participating companies can onboard qualified IT graduates for a six-month, full-time apprenticeship. The program provides an opportunity for graduates to gain real-world industry experience while enabling companies to integrate emerging talent into their workflows. Through this collaboration, both companies and apprentices gain mutual benefits—graduates acquire essential workplace skills, while firms can access a pool of trained professionals who can support their operations and projects. This initiative also helps to address the ongoing demand for skilled professionals within Pakistan’s IT and ITeS sectors, aligning with PSEB’s objective of strengthening the country’s digital workforce and increasing industry competitiveness.

PSEB has reiterated that credentials from its existing Internship Program remain valid for this apprenticeship opportunity, ensuring a smooth transition for companies already registered under previous initiatives. The Skill Bridge Apprenticeship Program not only promotes skill enhancement but also supports business growth by allowing companies to build future-ready teams. By integrating apprentices into ongoing projects, firms can foster innovation and productivity while offering valuable mentorship to young professionals entering the workforce. The effort reflects PSEB’s continued focus on nurturing a sustainable talent pipeline for the IT sector, contributing to the national vision of developing Pakistan as a preferred technology destination.

Interested IT and ITeS companies can register for the program at skills.techdestination.com before the extended deadline of November 8, 2025. PSEB encourages all eligible firms to participate and play an active role in strengthening Pakistan’s technology landscape through structured talent development. This initiative stands as an important step toward connecting education with employment, supporting graduates in gaining valuable experience while empowering the private sector with a steady inflow of trained talent. By facilitating such collaborations, PSEB continues to enhance the capacity of Pakistan’s digital economy, ensuring that both industry and workforce evolve together toward sustainable technological progress.
