Pakistan Software Export Board continued its engagement with global technology leaders as Chief Executive Officer Faisal Jeddy hosted a senior delegation from Microsoft at the PSEB office in Islamabad. The meeting brought together representatives from Microsoft’s international operations, including Irfan Awan, AI Business Solutions Lead based in Ireland, and David Frantic, Regional Business Head from Prague, Czech Republic. The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between Pakistan’s technology ecosystem and multinational technology companies with a focus on advanced digital capabilities.

Discussions during the meeting centered on developing a strategic roadmap aimed at expanding Pakistan’s IT sector capacity in emerging artificial intelligence technologies. The dialogue explored how global expertise and platforms can be aligned with Pakistan’s growing pool of skilled IT professionals to support innovation, product development, and service delivery. By engaging directly with Microsoft’s leadership in AI driven business solutions, PSEB sought to identify practical pathways for enhancing local capabilities while ensuring that Pakistani firms remain competitive in international markets that are increasingly shaped by automation and data driven systems.

PSEB officials highlighted the importance of structured collaboration in bridging gaps between local talent and global technology ecosystems. Pakistan’s IT sector has experienced steady growth in recent years, driven by software development, enterprise services, and digital solutions for overseas clients. Integrating advanced AI tools into this landscape is viewed as a critical step in moving up the value chain. The meeting reflected PSEB’s role in facilitating knowledge exchange, capacity building, and exposure to international best practices that can support sustainable export growth. Microsoft’s representatives shared insights into global trends in AI adoption and the skills required to build scalable, secure, and commercially viable solutions.

The engagement also underscored PSEB’s broader mandate to position Pakistan as a reliable destination for technology services and innovation. By connecting local companies and professionals with leading global technology firms, the board aims to support workforce readiness and encourage the adoption of next generation tools across the sector. The presence of Microsoft executives from Europe highlighted interest in deeper engagement with Pakistan’s technology ecosystem and signaled opportunities for future cooperation in areas such as AI solutions, enterprise platforms, and digital transformation initiatives.

As global demand for AI enabled services continues to rise, meetings of this nature play a role in aligning Pakistan’s IT strategy with international market needs. The interaction between PSEB leadership and Microsoft representatives reflects an ongoing focus on strengthening institutional partnerships and ensuring that local talent can access global technologies and frameworks. Further information about PSEB initiatives and industry engagement is available through official channels, as the organization continues its efforts to support the growth and competitiveness of Pakistan’s technology export sector.
