With a burgeoning youth population and alarming unemployment rates, Pakistan is increasingly focused on cultivating young entrepreneurs. A new partnership between Jubilee Life Insurance and SEED Ventures is highlighting the potential of youth-driven innovation.
The two organizations have joined forces to launch the University Challenge Pakistan, a platform designed to identify and nurture entrepreneurial talent among university students. The program aims to equip young minds with the skills and resources needed to develop innovative solutions for the insurance sector.
“We believe that the youth hold the key to Pakistan’s future,” said Farhan Faridi, Group Head at Jubilee Life Insurance. “By providing them with a platform to innovate, we are investing in the nation’s growth.”
Shaista Ayesha, CEO of SEED Ventures, emphasized the importance of industry-academia partnerships in fostering entrepreneurship. “Our collaboration with Jubilee Life is a testament to our shared commitment to empowering young people,” she said.
The initiative comes as Pakistan faces a critical juncture, with a large youth demographic and a pressing need to create jobs. Experts believe that fostering entrepreneurship is essential for driving economic growth and addressing social challenges.
