Ookla’s most recent Speedtest Global Index for June 2022 has some interesting data on the internet in Pakistan. The mobile internet speed in our country surpassed that of India in June. Pakistan has an average upload speed of 9.38 Mbps and a download speed of 14.64 Mbps for mobile internet.
Pakistan was 116th out of 132 countries, whereas India was 118th and had an average download speed of 14 Mbps. The upload speed in India was 3.63 Mbps, which was far lower. Pakistan was put ahead of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, all of which were ranked significantly lower than our country.
The bad news is that Pakistan was ranked lower for fixed broadband speed last month, falling three points. With a 9.82 Mbps average download speed, Pakistan was rated 150th in the world for fixed broadband internet. India performed far better than the other nations, with an average download speed of 48.11 Mbps.
