Pakistan Bureau Of Statistics To Host DataFest 2025 At Pak-China Friendship Centre

Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has officially announced its upcoming flagship event, DataFest 2025, which will be held from November 11 to 12 at the Pak-China Friendship Centre in Islamabad. Themed “Unlocking Tomorrow with AI” and “From Numbers to Lives,” the event aims to spotlight the growing role of data, artificial intelligence, and analytics in shaping Pakistan’s future development and governance. The announcement underscores PBS’s commitment to fostering a data-driven culture that empowers decision-makers, researchers, and innovators to utilize statistical insights for sustainable national progress.

DataFest 2025 is set to bring together policymakers, technology experts, data scientists, development partners, and representatives from public and private sectors to explore the transformative potential of data. Supported by international organizations including UNICEF, UNFPA, World Bank Group, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the event reflects PBS’s collaborative approach to strengthening data ecosystems. Participants will engage in sessions and discussions focused on AI integration, innovation in data management, and the role of technology in addressing socio-economic challenges.

As part of its broader Uraan Pakistan initiative, PBS continues to advance the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence to enhance the quality, accessibility, and impact of statistical information. The event will also highlight how AI and modern data methodologies can be leveraged to improve public policy, economic planning, and service delivery. Through DataFest 2025, PBS aims to encourage greater use of open data, promote data literacy, and enable evidence-based decision-making across institutions and industries. The integration of technology into the national statistical system marks an important step toward strengthening Pakistan’s digital governance and innovation capacity.

PBS has invited stakeholders and members of the public to register for the event through its official website www.pbs.gov.pk or by scanning the QR code provided in the official announcement. The bureau’s leadership emphasized that the festival will serve as a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration, enabling Pakistan to align its statistical infrastructure with emerging global standards. With participation from academia, government agencies, and development organizations, DataFest 2025 is expected to reinforce the importance of reliable data and AI-powered analysis in driving inclusive growth and long-term sustainability.
