The Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) has announced a series of interactive career sessions at GITECH 2026, bringing together leading freelancers, AI entrepreneurs and digital marketing professionals to help aspiring freelancers build sustainable careers in the digital economy. Scheduled to take place on July 4 at the Expo Centre Karachi, the sessions will focus on practical skills, emerging technologies and strategies for succeeding in the rapidly evolving freelance marketplace. The initiative reflects PAFLA’s continued efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s freelance ecosystem by connecting aspiring professionals with experienced industry leaders.

Among the featured speakers is M. Hasan Bin Liaquat, a Top Rated Upwork freelancer and trainer, who will share practical guidance on building a successful career in video editing through global freelance platforms. His session will provide participants with insights into acquiring clients, developing competitive portfolios and establishing long-term freelance careers in the growing digital content industry. The event is aimed at both beginners exploring freelancing opportunities and professionals seeking to expand their presence on international marketplaces.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage with Syed Faizan Ali Shah, who will discuss how freelancing and digital marketing are transforming today’s workforce and creating new career opportunities. Another highlight of the event will be a session by Faraz Hussain Buriro, Founder of PakGPT and Aiprofy, who will explore the impact of artificial intelligence on freelancing and explain how AI-powered tools are reshaping the future of work. His discussion will examine how freelancers can leverage AI to improve productivity, enhance service delivery and remain competitive in an increasingly technology-driven global marketplace.

By bringing together experts from freelancing, artificial intelligence and digital marketing, PAFLA aims to equip participants with practical knowledge that supports career growth and digital entrepreneurship. The sessions are expected to provide valuable networking opportunities while encouraging more Pakistanis to develop globally competitive digital skills. As freelancing continues to contribute significantly to Pakistan’s digital economy, initiatives like these play an important role in preparing the country’s workforce for emerging opportunities in the global digital services market.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
