Onic has completed two years in Pakistan, celebrating its position as the country’s first fully digital telecom brand. Designed for a new generation of mobile users, Onic has stood out with its strong branding and app-first approach that appeals particularly to Gen Z and digital natives. By removing the barriers of traditional telecom, the company has created a customer journey built entirely around mobile and web platforms, offering flexibility, transparency, and convenience.

Since its launch, Onic has offered an end-to-end digital experience that requires no physical interaction. Customers can activate SIMs, manage accounts, recharge, and access support exclusively through its app and website. This shift has made Onic a preferred choice for those seeking a fast, modern, and frictionless mobile service. The brand has also emphasized complete digital payment adoption, ensuring that all transactions align with the lifestyle of a tech-savvy user base that values efficiency and control.

Hatem Bamatraf, President and Group CEO, PTCL & Ufone 4G, highlighted the company’s journey by saying: “Onic’s rapid rise is a testament to our Group’s vision to lead Pakistan’s digital transformation. In just two years, Onic has redefined the mobile experience with unmatched convenience, transparency, and control, setting a new benchmark for the industry and inspiring the future of telecom in Pakistan.” His remarks reflect the strategic direction of PTCL and Ufone, with Onic serving as a forward-looking brand that strengthens their digital portfolio.

Omer Bin Tariq, Country Head – Onic Pakistan, shared his perspective on the milestone: “As we celebrate this milestone, I am humbled by how far we’ve come in redefining telecom for Pakistan. In just two years, we have built a best-in-class app experience, achieved complete digital payment adoption, and proudly served an entirely app-based user base. This is only the beginning, we will continue to push boundaries, set new benchmarks, and build a more connected, digital future for the country.” His statement underscores Onic’s focus on innovation and its commitment to continuously shaping a service model that resonates with younger, digitally engaged consumers.

With its seamless ecosystem and branding strategy tailored for modern lifestyles, Onic has built a loyal community in a short span of time. By focusing on convenience, accessibility, and digital-first solutions, the company has not only enhanced customer experience but also contributed to Pakistan’s broader digital journey. Moving into its third year, Onic remains positioned as a key player in the evolving telecom sector, continuing to grow its influence among users who prefer mobile-led, app-driven services.
