National University of Sciences and Technology’s ICT Directorate conducted a CMS/ERP Managers Training Program, bringing together CMS and ERP managers from across NUST’s constituent institutions to strengthen institutional capacity and improve the use of the university’s Qalam Campus Management Solution. The program was designed to build collaboration among managers responsible for the system across different campuses and departments.
The training was inaugurated by Dr Shams Ud Din Qazi, Chief Technology Officer at the ICT Directorate, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning, collaboration, and institutional ownership in advancing NUST’s broader digital transformation efforts. He highlighted the role CMS and ERP managers play in ensuring the successful adoption of system enhancements and in delivering efficient institutional support to their respective departments and schools.
The program equipped participants with practical knowledge and operational expertise related to the Qalam platform, which NUST uses as its central campus management system for academic and administrative functions across its network of constituent institutions. By bringing managers from different campuses together for shared training, the program aimed to standardize how the platform is used and supported across the university’s decentralized structure.
The training adds to NUST’s ongoing efforts to build internal technical capacity around its digital infrastructure, reflecting a broader institutional commitment to digital excellence and technology driven academic and administrative services. As Pakistani universities continue expanding their reliance on centralized campus management systems, training programs of this kind play a role in ensuring these systems are used effectively across large, multi campus institutions.
