The Ministry of IT & Telecommunication (MoITT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cadet College Hasanabdal (CCH) to transform the institution into Pakistan’s first Model Digital Institution under the National Digital Vision and CCH Vision 2030. The agreement marks a significant step towards embedding digital-first practices in one of the country’s most renowned academic institutions, with the goal of creating a benchmark for modern education in Pakistan. The collaboration is designed to integrate smart technologies, advanced digital tools, and innovative teaching methodologies to align with both national objectives and global education standards.

Central to this partnership is the development of robust digital infrastructure at Cadet College Hasanabdal, including the introduction of smart classrooms that will provide students with interactive, technology-enabled learning environments. These facilities will be supported by enhanced teacher training programs to ensure that faculty are equipped with the latest skills in artificial intelligence, coding, data science, and modern digital tools. By strengthening the capacity of teachers to deliver cutting-edge content, the initiative aims to create a ripple effect where students can benefit from enriched learning experiences and build strong foundations for future careers in technology and innovation.

The collaboration also places emphasis on the holistic development of students, offering specialized programs in coding, robotics, cybersecurity, and blockchain through dedicated bootcamps and workshops. These initiatives are intended not only to improve technical knowledge but also to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities among young learners. MoITT will further support the students by facilitating mentorship opportunities and internships with startups and companies within its innovation ecosystem. This will enable cadets to apply their knowledge in real-world settings, gain practical exposure, and establish connections with industry professionals at an early stage in their academic journey.

By combining policy direction from MoITT with the academic excellence of Cadet College Hasanabdal, the partnership is being seen as a milestone in Pakistan’s digital transformation efforts. It reflects a broader strategy to prepare youth for participation in the global digital economy, while positioning CCH as a pioneer among educational institutions in adopting advanced technology-driven learning. The initiative highlights how integrating government-led digital vision with institutional reform can empower students to become future leaders in AI, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. As Pakistan continues to expand its digital infrastructure and strengthen the skills of its younger generation, this collaboration is expected to serve as a model for other schools and colleges across the country, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and future-ready knowledge economy.
