MITE Hosts Panel Discussion on Startup Funding with Telenor Velocity and Visa

The Millennium Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship (MITE) recently hosted a panel discussion titled “From Idea to Impact: Closing the Funding Gap in Pakistan’s Startup Ecosystem.” The event focused on the crucial role of Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs) and the corporate sector in enabling startup investment.

A distinguished panel of experts, including Shaista Ayesha, Syed Ahmad Mayed, Bilal All Qureshi, All Aamir, Kanta Alaal, Alf Lakhan, Abdur Rahman Shamal, Zeeshan Khattak, Hamza Saeed, Abu Bakar, and Aleena, shared their insights on the challenges faced by Pakistani startups in securing funding. 

The discussion highlighted the importance of mentorship, networking, and access to capital in fostering a vibrant startup ecosystem. Panelists emphasized the role of ESOs in providing essential support services such as training, incubation, and acceleration programs. They also urged the corporate sector to actively engage with startups through partnerships, collaborations, and investments.

The event was supported by Telenor Velocity and Visa, underscoring the growing interest and support for Pakistan’s startup ecosystem. The session concluded with a call to action for all stakeholders to work together to create a conducive environment for startups to thrive and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
