Ministry of IT and Telecom Pakistan in collaboration with atomcamp is bringing forward a series of webinars that explore the ongoing AI revolution, aiming to prepare individuals and industries for the challenges and opportunities ahead. The third webinar in this series, titled Preparing for the AI-Driven World, will center on equipping participants with technical competencies such as data literacy and automation, while also strengthening human-centered skills like creativity, communication, and adaptability. This balanced approach underscores the idea that success in an AI-powered era requires not only technical expertise but also the ability to think critically and interact meaningfully within dynamic environments.

The session will be led by Dr. Rida Qadri, Senior Research Scientist at Google and a respected interdisciplinary researcher known for designing AI systems that prioritize cultural contexts and empower communities. Dr. Qadri’s academic journey includes a PhD in Computational Urban Science and a Master’s in Urban Studies from MIT, credentials that reflect her rigorous expertise in connecting data, technology, and social systems. Her research has been widely recognized on international platforms, with contributions published in Big Data & Society, CSCW, CHI, and FAccT. Beyond academic work, she also plays a role in shaping the discourse around AI’s cultural implications through her op-eds in publications such as Wired, The Guardian, Slate, and Vice.

Her influence extends further as a member of the editorial board of the Cambridge Forum on AI: Culture and Society, where she contributes to advancing dialogue on how technology intersects with cultural values and social priorities. This aligns with the objectives of the upcoming webinar, which is not limited to purely technical training but also highlights the importance of human adaptability and mindset. Participants will be encouraged to embrace growth-oriented thinking, develop resilience, and cultivate skills that allow them to thrive in rapidly shifting technological landscapes.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, 4th September 2025 at 7:30 PM PKT, and offers professionals, students, and policy enthusiasts the chance to engage with ideas that directly shape the future of work and society. Registration is open through the provided link, inviting individuals across Pakistan and beyond to take part in a dialogue that bridges global expertise with local aspirations. This initiative reflects Ministry of IT and Telecom Pakistan’s efforts, in partnership with atomcamp, to advance the national conversation on AI while also positioning Pakistan as an active participant in global technological shifts. With figures such as Shaza Khawaja, Naveed Iftikhar, Fizza Amjad, Mahnoor Salman, and Dr. Rida Qadri lending their voices, the webinar series continues to build momentum as a significant platform for learning, collaboration, and forward-thinking engagement in AI.
