LEAP is set to make its first major move beyond Saudi Arabia with the launch of LEAP East, an all-new technology event scheduled to take place from July 9–11, 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The expansion marks a significant milestone for Tahaluf, Saudi Arabia’s largest B2B events organiser, as it positions itself as a major international industry player. The announcement signals LEAP’s ambition to extend its influence into Asia’s fast-growing tech markets while reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s global tech and events credentials.

Since its inception in Riyadh, LEAP has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing technology gatherings, attracting global leaders, startups, investors, and policymakers. The event has previously featured high-profile speakers including Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee, TikTok CEO Shou Chew, and Sinovation Ventures Chairperson and CEO Dr. Kai-Fu Lee, underscoring the strengthening business ties between Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia. LEAP 2025 alone recorded attendance exceeding 200,000 participants, further cementing its reputation as a transformative tech platform.

LEAP East will bring together more than 300 expert speakers and 300 exhibitors, offering insights into emerging technologies such as fintech, gaming, robotics, artificial intelligence, smart cities, digital transformation, and Web3. The event will introduce several flagship experiences, including Orbital Tracks focusing on critical sectors like fintech and the creative economy, DeepFest dedicated to AI and deep tech breakthroughs, and the immersive Tech Arena featuring live demonstrations and interactive showcases. Networking will also play a central role, with curated investor programmes, pitch competitions, and matchmaking sessions designed to accelerate startup growth and investment opportunities.

Executives at Tahaluf described LEAP East as a catalyst for expanding the global tech ecosystem and deepening cross-border collaboration. With Hong Kong’s established infrastructure and access to international capital markets, organisers believe the city provides an ideal environment for startups seeking scale and global exposure. Through its investment ecosystem featuring more than 60 investors, alongside exclusive networking events such as LEAP East Nights, the event aims to create a dynamic convergence point for entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and industry leaders. Building on four successful editions in Riyadh, LEAP East is positioned to become a powerful platform shaping the next phase of global technological innovation.
