Jazz Commits PKR 1 Billion for Flood Relief Efforts, Providing Telecom Services and Emergency Supplies

Jazz, in collaboration with JazzCash and Mobilink Microfinance Bank, has pledged PKR 1 billion towards flood relief efforts in Pakistan. The support includes the provision of much-needed emergency supplies and telecom services. The commitment extends over a period of 12 months and encompasses short- to mid-term initiatives.

As part of the immediate response, Jazz will work closely with NGOs and the government to distribute emergency supplies such as shelter, food items, and medical provisions. Jazz customers can also contribute to the relief efforts by making charitable donations through SMS and JazzCash. Additionally, Jazz employees are voluntarily participating in the nationwide relief endeavor.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, emphasized the company’s commitment to ensuring connectivity during this challenging time. He stated that while their thoughts and prayers are with the flood affectees, they are also dedicated to providing aid through telecom services and emergency supplies. Restoring the lives of those affected is an obligation for Jazz.

Recognizing the importance of connectivity in times of crisis, Jazz will focus on continuing zero-rated and subsidized services for access to emergency care and rescue helplines. The company has also expedited the sign-up process for JazzCash mobile wallets, enabling donors to provide immediate relief to the most impacted members of local communities.

With a history of 27 years in Pakistan, Jazz has consistently taken a leading role in addressing various crises. The recent flood situation is no exception, as the company upholds its national responsibility and strives to support the nation during this challenging time.
