Some of the major health risks according to health experts, excessive internet usage can result in stunted brain growth amongst children, memory loss, weakened cognitive abilities which could impair decision making.

It is also a known fact that excessive use of the internet results in various psychological issues in teenagers and children. Dr. Sadia, a senior psychiatrist speaking to a local newspaper said that excessive screen time is resulting in abnormalities amongst teenagers and claimed that it was harming their nervous systems.

She also added that internet addiction is also one of the major causes of obesity that result in various health diseases not to mention the rise of anxiety and depression in children as well from being bullied at school as a result.

Various health experts and teachers also agree that excessive use of technology and the internet is quite concerning as children are losing their capacity to work and think without these gadgets.
