Islamic Chamber of Commerce & Development (ICCD) has announced the 2nd Invest in Digital Economy Forum, set to take place on September 21 and 22, 2025, in Jordan. Building on the success of its inaugural event, this year’s forum is expected to attract a global audience of thought leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and technology experts from across the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states and beyond.

As part of the forum, ICCD is launching a Digital Economy Competition—a unique opportunity for innovators to present their groundbreaking ideas on emerging technological trends that can shape the future of the digital landscape. The competition invites students, startups, researchers, and digital entrepreneurs to showcase original concepts and prototypes that address real-world challenges using digital solutions. Khawaja Ashraf Hussain, Director of Event Management at the ICCD said:

“This is more than a competition—it’s a call to action for the changemakers of the digital age. We are looking for ideas that inspire, technologies that disrupt, and minds that dare to imagine a better, tech-driven future for our societies. We believe this platform can unlock the power of youth and innovation across the Islamic world.”

The forum itself is designed as a high-impact convening space to explore the evolving landscape of the digital economy—from artificial intelligence and blockchain to green tech, financial inclusion, digital entrepreneurship, and smart governance. With panel discussions, keynote addresses, investor sessions, and networking opportunities, the event will serve as a catalyst for regional partnerships and cross-border investments.

The Digital Economy Competition will be a centerpiece of the event, giving finalists the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of industry leaders, global investors, and innovation experts. Winning ideas will not only receive recognition and potential funding support but also gain access to ICCD’s network of accelerators, incubators, and international partners dedicated to scaling digital solutions for impact.

Participation is open to individuals and teams across the OIC region and beyond, and the application portal is now live. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their proposals by visiting this link. The organizers are particularly keen on projects that demonstrate scalability, sustainability, and relevance to contemporary socio-economic challenges, such as digital access, education, health, climate resilience, and inclusive finance.

The Invest in Digital Economy Forum reflects ICCD’s broader mission of enabling inclusive growth through digital transformation in Islamic economies. With the digital economy poised to contribute trillions to global GDP over the next decade, the forum presents a timely opportunity for member states to collaborate, co-create, and lead in this dynamic space. In his concluding remarks, Khawaja Ashraf Hussain emphasized the importance of collective ambition and knowledge exchange.

“Let’s come together to write the next chapter of the digital story—one that is rooted in equity, innovation, and shared prosperity.”

The countdown to the forum has begun, and the ICCD is calling on all innovators, dreamers, and digital pioneers to step forward and be a part of this transformative journey.
