Institute of Business Administration Karachi through its Centre for Information and Communication Technology hosted a Generative Artificial Intelligence workshop aimed at preparing professionals for the evolving demands of the digital workplace. The session was led by Dr Faisal Iradat and focused on equipping participants with practical knowledge and skills to effectively understand and apply artificial intelligence tools in real world professional environments.

The workshop was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and practical application of emerging technologies, particularly as organisations increasingly integrate artificial intelligence into their operations. Participants were introduced to key concepts surrounding generative artificial intelligence, alongside discussions on how such tools can be utilised to enhance productivity, decision making, and innovation across different sectors. The session placed emphasis on enabling professionals to adapt to rapid technological changes and remain competitive in a digital first economy.

A significant aspect of the workshop involved discussions around the responsible use of artificial intelligence, highlighting both opportunities and challenges associated with its adoption. Participants engaged in conversations on ethical considerations, practical limitations, and the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability while deploying AI driven solutions in the workplace. The collaborative format of the session encouraged knowledge sharing and critical thinking, allowing attendees to explore real life scenarios and develop a more grounded understanding of AI implementation.

The initiative reflects a broader focus on capacity building and professional development within Pakistan’s technology and education ecosystem. As artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries globally, training programmes such as this aim to prepare the workforce with the necessary skills to navigate and leverage these changes effectively. By fostering awareness and practical expertise, institutions like IBA Karachi are contributing to the development of a more digitally equipped and future ready workforce aligned with the demands of the modern professional landscape.
