SOFTEC, Pakistan’s premier IT event, is poised to make a significant impact once again as it prepares for its upcoming edition in February 2024. Hosted by FAST National University in Lahore, this event has become a cornerstone on the country’s tech calendar, featuring over 20 competitions spanning IT and non-IT domains with a substantial net prize pool of 1.8 million.

Renowned for its conferences that boasts both, national and international tech speakers, including influential figures like Hafsa Munawar, Google Community Manager, SOFTEC remains a catalyst for knowledge exchange in the tech community. The football event from the previous year, which drew an impressive 17,000 participants from across Pakistan, underscored the event’s widespread popularity.

SOFTEC receives strong support from leading software houses such as Systems Ltd., Netsol, Educatives, Tkxel, and media partners including Express News, Geo News, firmly establishing itself as a vital link between academia and industry.

Actively bridging the gap between academic learning and industry demands, SOFTEC offers a diverse range of competitions, conferences, and even a software housing enclosure for student CV submissions.

The event has strategically partnered with entities like Telenor and Soliton to provide students with access to cutting-edge AI platforms, while Educatives presents opportunities in web and app development.

CWPakistan takes pride in being the technology media partner for this legacy event. Scheduled for February 23-25, 2024, at FAST-NU Lahore, SOFTEC stands as a testament to the recognition of talent, the cultivation of a tech-savvy culture, and the promotion of innovation within Pakistan’s dynamic IT landscape. Register now for this incredible weekend – just a month away!

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
