Dawlance has inaugurated a new greenfield manufacturing facility for the production of condensers for refrigerators, marking a significant step in Pakistan’s industrial capability development. Executed in partnership with White Eagle Engineering and Beko Türkiye, the facility brings together local manufacturing expertise and international technical support to produce a highly technical and quality-sensitive component that was previously thought difficult to manufacture domestically. This milestone demonstrates a meaningful leap in the country’s ability to produce critical components locally while enhancing quality, reliability, and efficiency.

Condensers, an essential part of refrigerator cooling systems, are known for their technical complexity and strict quality requirements. Dawlance collaborated closely with White Eagle Engineering, alongside its in-house Engineering and R&D teams in Pakistan and Beko Türkiye, to ensure the component meets high performance standards. By localising production, the company has been able to achieve a superior finish and operational efficiency compared to imported equivalents. This project reflects years of careful planning, technical refinement, and a commitment to building industrial capacity within Pakistan.

The operational facility represents structural benefits for both Dawlance and the broader industrial ecosystem. Strategic localisation of condensers will allow higher quality production with lower reliance on imports, resulting in foreign exchange savings and domestic value creation. Additionally, workforce upskilling and knowledge transfer have been key outcomes, equipping local engineers with the expertise to operate and innovate in advanced manufacturing processes. Only approximately 25 percent of the component’s value remains imported, with ongoing efforts aimed at further reducing external dependency.

This development aligns with Dawlance’s vision of advancing sustainable industrialisation in Pakistan. By investing in domestic capabilities, the company is able to reduce Scope 3 emissions by producing closer to the point of consumption while simultaneously strengthening local supply chains. Beyond operational efficiency, the initiative demonstrates confidence in Pakistan’s engineering talent and industrial potential. It provides a framework for future growth, with prospects for scaled production and potential exports as the facility expands its capabilities. Dawlance’s approach illustrates how targeted investments in technology and local partnerships can unlock industrial and economic value for the country, creating a model for sustainable growth in the manufacturing sector.
