Faysal Bank Pakistan moves toward SunGard core

Pakistan’s Faysal Bank has shifted the bank branches onto its SunGard core banking system.  Faysal Bank was already using SunGard’s Ambit core banking system for its own operations since 2004, but it still needed to transfer the operations to the advanced platform. The bank has 260 branches in 70 cities of Pakistan. 

Argentina offers modern technology for slaughter houses

The Ambassador of Argentina, Rodolfo Martin Saravia has offered to help Pakistan with the technological assistance to the Pakistani meat industry. The production of Halal meat can be increased in the country with technological expertise provided by Argentina. Moreover, Argentina is also capable of supporting Pakistan with technology transfer and expertise for agriculture development and increasing per acre yield.

 

QMobile QTab X50 Tablet PC Specs and Price

QMobile has announced its first tablet PC, the QTab X50 which measures 8 inches in size and comes with a quad-core MediaTek processor underneath. The display comes with 1024 x 768 resolution. Under the hood, there is a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 1 GB worth RAM and 16 GB expandable storage onboard. At the back, sits a 5 megapixel camera, coupled by a 2 megapixel camera at the front.

Nokia Pakistan, in collaboration with Telenor, has announced the launch of Nokia Asha 500, 502 and 503, available for purchase in Pakistan with 6 months free Telenor Talkshawk Internet. The new phones extend the boundaries of affordable smartphone experience with their innovative Fastlane home screen, attractive new design and advanced integration with social networks.
