Seven Pakistani startups have been selected to represent the country at the Pakistan Pavilion during the Annual Meeting 2026 of the World Economic Forum in Davos, under the Pathfinder CITADEL DAVOS Challenge. The initiative seeks to connect Pakistani innovators with international investors, mentors, and global markets, highlighting the growing impact of the country’s startup ecosystem. Selected startups span sectors including education, fintech, AI, healthtech, and bionic technology, reflecting the diversity and scale of local entrepreneurial talent.

Edversity, one of the selected startups, focuses on building tech talent pipelines in emerging markets by training youth in AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity through personalized learning solutions. The company has graduated over 12,000 students, with 68 percent successfully placed in industry roles, establishing a sustainable talent engine for Pakistan’s digital economy. Vector AI, founded in July 2023, develops specialized AI and Software as a Service solutions, including enterprise Agentic AI systems and production-ready voice AI, serving sectors such as telecommunications, education, insurance, and non-profits with a focus on localization and customization.

Swich, headquartered in Karachi, operates as a digital payments platform and fintech enabler. Initially launched as a payment aggregator in 2023, it now provides a gateway for collecting and disbursing funds across Pakistan. Co-founder Shah Aun Hussain highlighted the startup’s role in shaping Pakistan’s fintech ecosystem and the significance of representing the country at an international forum. EKKO, a healthtech venture, introduces a portable device for home-based speech therapy targeting children with speech disorders globally. By combining safe vibrational wave stimulation with app and cloud support, EKKO aims to make therapy more affordable and accessible.

Other selected startups include Ai team force, offering AI-powered sales outreach tools for SMEs, Edkasa, providing online learning for Matric and FSc students to improve academic performance, and AiBL, developing AI-integrated bionic prosthetics to restore mobility for amputees. These startups were chosen through a rigorous three-stage selection process involving 200 applicants, 60 shortlisted, 40 pitching in the second round, and 20 advancing to the finals. The top seven startups were identified by a panel of external experts from industry, academia, and investment communities, ensuring transparency and adherence to global standards.

Organizers of the Pathfinder CITADEL DAVOS Challenge emphasized that participation in Davos offers the selected startups unmatched exposure to international investors, mentorship opportunities, and global media attention. The initiative aligns with Pakistan’s Vision 2030 and the Digital Pakistan agenda, aiming to create pathways for local innovations to reach global markets. Through such platforms, Pakistani startups are increasingly poised to demonstrate their capabilities on an international stage, reinforcing the country’s growing prominence in the technology and innovation sectors.
