Yango Pakistan, a branch of the global technology firm Yango Group, has officially launched its Transport service across major cities including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. Integrated within the Yango Superapp, the newly introduced service consolidates public transport routes and schedules, allowing users to plan journeys with greater clarity and convenience. By providing a single platform to access this information, Yango aims to improve the commuting experience for city residents and visitors alike.

The Transport service presently offers real-time schedules for over sixty public transport routes, covering more than 1,000 kilometers across the four cities. Users can design travel routes entirely within the app, comparing different options based on journey duration, route details, and transfer points. The service accommodates a variety of transport types, including regular buses, Metrobus, and Metro services, simplifying daily commutes and reducing the need for multiple apps or scattered information sources.

Miral Sharif, Country Manager of Yango Pakistan, highlighted that public transport remains a critical aspect of urban mobility for millions across Pakistan. She explained that integrating route and schedule details within the Superapp provides a practical solution for navigating urban centers efficiently. Sharif emphasized that the tool is intended to make trip planning more accessible, particularly in densely populated cities where timely information is essential for commuters.

Looking forward, Yango Pakistan envisions expanding the Transport service further by collaborating with local mobility operators and infrastructure stakeholders, as well as public sector institutions. Potential enhancements include extending route coverage, integrating ticketing platforms, and introducing additional features to facilitate more connected and convenient urban travel. By merging these mobility tools into a single platform, Yango Pakistan continues to strengthen its presence in digital urban services while supporting more organized and efficient city travel.
