Due to the ever-increasing demand for smartphones, it appears that Samsung will not be the first business to open a local assembly plant in Pakistan. Xiaomi is going to do the same.
Xiaomi’s assembly plant is anticipated to open in the next three to four months, according to PhoneWorld. The idea behind this factory is to ensure that Pakistan can meet the growing demand for smartphones, which will let Xiaomi generate more money.
In terms of imported smartphones, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported that $1.860 billion worth of phones were imported into the country in the first 11 months of this year, a significant rise over the $1.138 billion worth of phones imported the previous year.
The biggest advantage of these local assembly factories, however, will be that the country will be able to give more work possibilities for its citizens and expand its smartphone manufacturing space.
Overall, it’s only a matter of time before additional smartphone manufacturers join the fray.In terms of imported smartphones, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported that $1.860 billion worth of phones were imported into the country in the first 11 months of this year, a significant rise over the $1.138 billion worth of phones imported the previous year.
