Civic Tech Hackathon recently took place at the National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi, the three day hackathon was in collaboration with Microsoft and Hack Embassy and took place on the November 30th till December 2nd, 2018. The hackathon saw to tech-enthusiasts and civic minded people who have expertise in web or mobile development, #4IR technologies, design thinking, data analytics, urban development and town planning etc
Day one focused on learning and understanding, and day two focusing on ideate with the third and final day for prototype and testing.
The five civic areas the hackathon focused on were: water access and quality; smart waste & sewage management; mobility and transportation; public safety; and citizen services.
