Dr. Umar Saif is all set to launch a new movement and Venture by the name of Khudi which is translated as “self” or “ego” in English and represents self-believe and self-determination. According to the local news, the former Chairman for Punjab IT Board, has taken cues from a popular verse by revered national poet of Pakistan, Allama Iqbal.
On Tuesday, Dr. Umar Saif announced via Twitter that he is launching Khudi Ventures and Khudi movement with the aim of helping startups scale to billion dollar companies.
Dr. Umar Saif while talking to the local news revealed that he will be working with Jang Media Group on both the Khudi Movement and Khudi Ventures. According to him, the focus of his association with Jang Media Group is to establish a fund to invest in startups with an investment thesis of media transformation and sharing economy.
