The session promises practical advice on what it takes to attract investment and the key trends shaping venture capital in 2025.

The panel features high-profile names representing diverse markets across South Asia and beyond. Kalsoom Lakhani, General Partner at i2i Ventures and Kauffman Fellow from Pakistan, will share her perspective on early-stage investing and the evolving startup ecosystem. Joining her is Amra Naidoo, General Partner at Accelerating Asia, with experience spanning Singapore and Bangladesh, bringing valuable insights on cross-border growth and regional funding patterns.

From Sri Lanka, Heminda Jayaweera, Executive Director at Trace and Eisenhower Fellow, will contribute his expertise in fostering innovation and scaling ventures in emerging markets. Tanveer Ali, Chairman of Constellation Asset Management in Bangladesh, will discuss investment strategies and sectoral opportunities in South Asia’s fast-growing economies. Completing the panel is Preeti Adhikary, General Partner at Momo Ventures in the USA and Nepal, offering perspectives on bridging international networks with South Asian startups.

The interactive discussion aims to address critical topics for entrepreneurs. Attendees will learn what investors look for when evaluating companies, how to determine if their startup is investor-ready, and the most effective ways to approach potential backers. The conversation will also explore common mistakes founders should avoid when seeking funding.
