A fully funded Generative Artificial Intelligence training programme targeting Pakistani technology graduates and digital professionals has opened for applications, offering participants a structured pathway toward international career opportunities in Germany and across the European Union. The initiative is led by the Centre for Migration and Development under the European Union Talent Partnership framework, funded by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Union, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, commonly known as GIZ, a German development organisation with an extensive presence in Pakistan and across the developing world.

The programme runs from May to July 2026, spanning three months across three cities: Islamabad, Peshawar, and Karachi. It is open at no cost to participants, with all training fully funded, and is primarily directed at graduates holding degrees in information and communication technology or Computer Science, as well as high-potential digital professionals seeking to build specialised skills in one of the most rapidly evolving areas of modern technology. Those who complete the programme will receive hands-on training in Generative Artificial Intelligence, an associate-level international certification, structured career guidance and advisory support, and direct exposure to European Union career pathways, including opportunities to develop language skills relevant to working in Germany and other parts of the bloc.

The programme arrives at a moment when demand for Generative Artificial Intelligence skills is accelerating across both the public and private sectors globally, and when Pakistani technology talent is increasingly being sought by European employers navigating demographic and skills shortfalls in their own labour markets. For graduates who qualify, the combination of certified artificial intelligence training and structured guidance on European mobility represents a practical and accessible entry point into international careers that would otherwise require significant individual investment to pursue. Seats are described as limited, and prospective applicants are encouraged to apply without delay via the official link at https://bit.ly/GIZgenai.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
