StormFiber, Pakistan’s largest fibre broadband service provider, has teamed up with the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCC&I) to improve the city’s business environment.
The SCC&I will assist StormFiber in establishing its fiber-optic network throughout Sargodha, allowing local companies to benefit from reliable fiber-optic access.
Apart from increasing internet penetration in the city and making ultra-fast broadband available to Sargodha residents, the partnership will also assist the business community in bridging the gap between local traders and global customers.
The programme is in line with SCC&I’s objectives of assisting Sargodha’s industrial sector in increasing business growth and developing new e-commerce prospects by transforming traditional trading procedures.
“One of the primary focal areas for SCC&I is to build tight liaisons with various stakeholders to support the expansion of commerce and industry,” stated Malik Asif Ameer Awan, President, SCC&I, in response to the development.
“We are pleased to work with StormFiber on this strategic initiative, which will provide inhabitants of Sargodha with a multitude of economic opportunities. Our local businesses will be better able to compete in a dynamic environment as a result of a greater awareness of the global competitive landscape, where digital exposure is becoming increasingly important,” he added.
“E-commerce is flourishing across the nation, with local industry players taking an enthusiastic interest in the online retail segments for their products and services,” said Akhtar Saeed Gondal, Senior Vice President, SCC&I.
“It is critical for Sargodha to rely on a service that is built for the future to meet its connectivity needs. This relationship underlines our commitment to provide state-of-the-art broadband services to our local traders, which is the need of the hour,” he added.
StormFiber’s Managing Director, Fawad Yousuf Laher, also spoke about the occasion. “We are excited about our strategic cooperation with SCC&I, an organisation dedicated to promoting local trade on a worldwide scale.”
“With their help, we will be able to construct our cutting-edge fibre infrastructure across the city, providing inhabitants with ultra-fast broadband, which has become a basic requirement for expanding local enterprises to compete on a global scale,” he added.
“Sargodha as a city has great potential in terms of trade and industry,” said Babar Harl, Business Unit Head, Sargodha StormFiber. Strong connectivity is critical in this case since it will give local residents access to global opportunities that will help them expand significantly.”
“We are excited to work with SCC&I on this project and are certain that it will contribute to the city’s general well-being,” he added.
Sargodha is one of the country’s main citrus-producing cities, producing 80 percent of the country’s citrus. A considerable portion of this produce is exported, which has a beneficial impact on the trade balance.
StormFiber’s stable and reliable broadband infrastructure is intended to attract FDI (foreign direct investment) to the city, contributing to the country’s overall GDP.
